Blatant Low Budget Rip-Off of John Carpenter's Escape from New York

This plot is nearly identical to Escape From New York, and if I had been John Carpenter, I would have sued these peoples' balls off for copyright infringement. Think about it, a guy has to rescue the president of outer space from Earth which is now a penal colony. There's also plot elements of No Escape with Ray Liotta, Lance Henriksen, Kevin Dillon, with Richard Moll from Night Court doing his low-budget impression of the Marek role portrayed in that movie Stuart Wilson.
And am I to believe that it's the 24th century and they still have ballistic weapons, vertical slat blinds, no plasma, laser, or energy weapons, and still wear suits with ties??? Get the frak out of here with that drek! Lazy, lazy, lazy!!!
This movie was just a paycheck for Richard Herd, Richard Moll, and anyone else who worked on this turd. What a pile of crap. Plus the blond can't act her way out of a paper bag so she was either banging someone higher up, or blew someone early in the production of this, and I use the term loosely, movie.
