This is not such a bad movie. It is not pretentious and has quite a good little story line, even if the premises are old, it has some originalities.

The wedding scene for instance is quite original. The characters are interesting and the actors do a good job (that's when Wil Ferrel was still under control).

I wish Ward and Guma had been written and directed a few more movies, they have some potential.

I agree, I caught this on HBO late at night and I liked it pretty well. I give it a pretty solid 7.

I think about a 5.5 is about right for the movie, considering how movies get ranked on IMDb.

i would honestly give it lower than a 4. there are bad movie that unintentionally entertain and then their are bad movies like this with absolutely no redeeming value.

It drags. Too much business jargon, not enough point. Very weird.

It was cute, but it felt amateurish in the dialogue, the way things were set up, etc.

Taking back IMDB message boards....one ignored Troll at a time.

I concur. I really wanted to like this film considering the cast and the subject, but I just didn't buy it and I don't remember laughing or caring. I gave it a 4 also, and it looks like the bulk of IMDb voters agreed with me.

It wasn't a horrible movie, true...it was a great concept & had a decent cast...but a lot of the "jokes" & dialogue were at the level of a sitcom. It needed a "Spinal Tap"-type treatment but got a sub-"Zoolander"-type treatment instead.

I agree, it deserves a 2. And I just wasted an hour of my life. Seriously though, no trolling, if the movie wanted to be a nostalgia trip for the 80s generations (and let me be clear, I absolutely hate the 80s) then it failed miserably. The dialogs are horrible and cheesy and the humor is just, not there. The plot twist at the end, while aimed to be an ironic twist of fate, is hardly shocking and well, a letdown. Really, avoid this

Nope. I totally agree and that's why I gave it a 7. It's not a brilliant comedy by any stretch, but it's fun, and deserves better than the 4.3 it currently has here on IMDb.

The rating this film has is ridiculous! I've seen so many films that are far worse and have a better rating. A fair rating would be between 5.6- 6.4. There is nothing really bad about this film. It's not badly written or badly acted. I saw a film called Exposed the other day which has a better rating and that is a truly bad film.
