Real events?

I saw this movie when it was released and i liked it!
Was part of a wave of the iranian cinema, which has resembles with the italian neorrealism.
I notice that there are no professional actors, both actresses are sisters and "the father" is her real father.
But the movie is based on real events of this family, or i just a fictional story with they playing characters?. Because it's not listed as a documentary if it's based on real events...

Prostitute: What the *beep* are you doing?
Johnny: I'm gonna kill a bunch of people.

I liked the film too. It has a definite charm and mystery that draws a viewer in and one is not overwhelmed by dialogue or characters or noise.

I wondered about whether or not any of the 'actors' were playing themselves. It's definitely a film and not a documentary, that much I know for sure. The acting was astounding if the children and adult man who played the father were not playing themselves. It was fascinating to see inside Iranian society too and appreciate how it resembles mine in many ways, yet is distinctly different also.

Keep silent unless what you are going to say is more important than silence.
