Other movies like PERFECT BLUE

I watched it yesterday and it was my second Satoshi Kon's flick. First one was Paprika which is my all time favorite. Just like Paprika this movie also needs a great attention to fully understand the storyline. This movie really have some intense scenes which make it pretty difficult to watch second time but still i'll try to watch it again. I am new to this anime world and was wondering that are there any more MIND-BOGGLING movies like PERFECT BLUE which needs proper attention of a viewer.

Do you mean similar anime movies, or just similar movies in general (live action included)?

Perfect Blue it's a psychological thriller, a genre which probably hasn't ever been done with animation before.

These are not mind-boggling or anime, but I didn't want to start a new thread.

They are definitely similarly-themed to Perfect Blue:

Perfect Blue: Yure nara samete (2002)
In Her Skin (2009)

If it doesn't have to be an Anime, then of course all the Hollywood movies that where inspired by Perfect Blue like Black Swan and Inland Empire.

Also La Belle Captive and maybe Mullholand Dr and pretty much most David Lynch movies anyway. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention Alfred Hitchcock's Marnie as well as the 2011 Movie Take Shelter.

Anime wise Paprika of course and some lesser known ones like maybe Angel's Egg and also shows like Serial Experiment Lane and Paranoia Agent.
