Baddest of the bad?

This is probably the worst movie I have ever seen but in spite of myself, I love this flick! Ed Wood movies are the best (worst) of any producer/director. Yeah, we all know about Plan 9, but is there a more unintentionally hilarious scene in film than the seance goings-on in this movie? Anyhow, this is my favorite bad movie of all time. I was just wondering what your favorite "bad" movie of all time is? I wonder if this question will ever get a response since how many people will come to this movie's site to begin with?
P.S. - I love the drawing of the cemetery in the opening credits - that's the spookiest part of the film!

Yup. This movie is pretty bad, probably Ed's worst film. But, its probably the funniest. The goofy old couple. Dr. Acula...??? ;)
Criswells hammy narrations. The laughs just keep coming. I recommend watching this with a group of friends and doing your own MST version.
Its a crappy film, but there are worse. I didnt feel anywhere near as ripped off laying down money for this movie than I did for "Underworld" or "Alien v.s Predator" or "Dude, Wheres my Car"....Now thoes are BAD movies.

Yes this is far worse than "Plan 9" that everyone says is supposed to be the worst film of all time. Maybe it doesn't get its due because Wood never actually could afford to have the film developed and released while he was alive?

But the scene that makes me howl is the seance where the guy in black face is supposed to be a spirit talking from beyond the grave and that corny trumpet is floating around and you can see the wires and then that guy in a sheet comes hopping across the room doing the hokey-pokey and then you keep seeing the phoney medium and he keeps eyeballing the guillible old widow woman and her new stud boyfriend and you keep wondering do these people think this is all as full of kra*p as I do?

I could never tell if the audience was supposed to think the people attending the seance were impressed with this ridiculous show the fake medium was putting on or not because it was making me howl.

Then the old lady goes on and on about how impressed she was to get to hear from her long-departed husband from beyond the grave so I guess she really must have been stupid.

Anyway, it's all a sham of course. The new boyfriend is in cahoots with the fake medium and obviously they are going to bilk her out of all her money.
Serves her right for being so stupid, stupid, STUPID!

Oh and the scene where the old couple are "driving" down that country road and he is literally spinning the steering wheel almost completely around, zig zagging back and forth, back and forth. If you try driving a car like that you'd be actually driving around in circles. No wonder he couldn't keep control.

And what is it with the police in Ed Wood movies? They are constantly drawing their guns and firing at the slightest things: shadows, animals and innocent bystanders. Talk about police brutality. I suppose they've never heard of ask the person approaching you to identify themselves (especially when the other person is obviously unarmed). Nope. They prefer to just open fire.

We can only wonder what "gems" Wood is making now wherever he may be.

I have never seen this movie, but I feel sorry for Kenne Duncan who was a longtime heavy in Republic serials and westerns. But then Tom Keene and Lyle Talbot must have fallen on hard times to appear in PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE.

Yes, it might be that bad, but it's very funny to watch. You do ask yourself just what the hell it's about, but you still have a good time laughing at the ineptitude of the enterprise.

If you think this flick is boring, try sitting through "The Beast From Yucca Flats"! That movie makes "Night of the Ghouls" look like "Citizen Kane".

Yes it was truly bad, I found parts to be pretty funny, but it was just bad... There are worse movies that I've seen, but this one was clearly Ed Wood's worst. It was a painful experience that I really don't wish to repeat.

I call these type of movies "bad" but I am very entertained by them. I would watch any of Ed Wood's films repeatedly before I would sit through movies from some so-called great directors that are just boring & sad (yes, I had a film class in college).

Torgo-27, awesome name. I think I have learned more about movies this week watching mostly what is supposed to be bad B movies, than by watching so called good movies. Although I did just recently watch The Birds and that was full of valuable lessons too.

PS I have never taken a film class, I took a theatre class instead.
