Worst Ed Wood Film?

Jail Bait is my least fav.

I think your a bit harsh in your rating.
Its just my opinion that some people are way to eager to deal out 1's or 2's
when i believe they are reserved for the most incoherient/poorly made/trashy/garbage/poorly produced/no plotted/goofed up pieces of crap and yeah ed wood movies may have some of these charactistics but in comparision to some of the amateur and hollywood film makers of today...ed wood films look like gems compared to these films and film makers.

I guess i can only rate movies so low if i cannot see some good points and todays movie makers have no excuse for poor quality or product.

I own plan 9, night of the ghouls, bride of the monster and glen or glenda.
So i cannot rate the others as i have not seen them.

My ratings :
Plan 9 from outta space = 6
Bride of the monster = 5
Glen or glenda = 5
Night of the ghouls = 4


My scale of rating is 10 being perfect, 9 being almost perfect, 8 being very good, 7 being above good 6 being slightly above average, 5 being average, 4 being slightly below average, 3 being below average, 2 poor, 1 unwatchable.

1. Plan 9 (Ed's Citizen Kane)
2. Night of the Ghouls (underrated - a low-budget spook house treat!)
3. Bride of the Monster (possibly Ed's most polished film)
4. Glen or Glenda (incoherent, but decent)
5. Jail Bait (I love the musical score... but it's pretty dull)
6. Sinister Urge (not as bad as Orgy of the Dead, but lacks the charm of EW's other films)
7. Orgy of the Dead (just about unwatchable)

If you think Ed Wood movies are bad ... you haven't seen very many movies.

This thing (Night of the Ghouls (1959))

I haven't seen enough movies. But, I rarely call a movie bad. Ed Woods movies are charming. They seem to be made by someone who looked at the world in wide eyed wonder. I haven't read much about him so this is pretty close to pure speculation. For me a movie has to be a special kind of bad for me to say it's a terrible movie. Like Ewie Boll bad. his movies are completely devoid of charm and are cynical to boot. But, again this is speculation. So, for the most part there are movies that I just don't particularly like- to movies I like a lot, if they are considered good or bad by most people is of little or no consideration.
