'I'll try the back door.'

.....and then Dr. Acula just runs right into the arms of the living dead.

Of all the crazy, incomprehensible things Wood had his characters do in his films, this might be the one I laugh hardest at. I mean, he doesn't even have the living dead chase Dr. Acula, the dummy just conveniently runs right into them!

that was just sad!

Maybe he was trying the quaterback sneak play?

Far be it from me to try to wrest logic from an Ed Wood extravaganza, but I was under the impression that Dr. Acula was exercising some uncharacteristic altruism -- or perhaps an unsuspected streak of chivalry -- holding off the vengeful dead while his accomplice escaped.

Anyway, as a Kenne Duncan fan, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I think he did it because he mostly believed they weren't real. He was only leaving because the police were breaking and entering and shooting up the joint. The fact that some entities were there that claimed to be ghosts or the living dead or whatever was just one more reason to leave and probably not his most urgent reason. I saw no real fear on the dudes face until he realized they could actually physically touch him and they had bad intentions. That is my story and I am sticking to it, because that looked colossally stupid.

the drunk in the office was a walking cartoon. the man in the car at the beginning seem to be the same as in teenagers from space. notice the phoney guy's voice sounded like john wayne. i know its considered a bad movie, but there was something hookable about this flick, by the end i had even forgotten elvira would show up and close. i had this on hollyweird dvd for years but didn't see the entire thing until now when i got it on elvira's midnight madness release. waaay "twilight zone: mr. garrety and the graves" vibe, don't know which was made first.

gone so many days,
haven't had no joy since she went away,
you came back in a tight pink dress,
big brown hair throwing about your neck,
just to once again realise,
it happened in a dream last night,
this morning no one in the land,
and you're still long gone away.
