every time she appeared I mentally replaced her with Drew Barrymore and Kate Hudson both of whom would have been more appealing and believable without even trying.

Agreed. Drew Barrymore, Kate Hudson, Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, heck even Jennifer Aniston would have done a better job without breaking a sweat.

Not Julia. She is not sexy at all. Drew would have been great. even Jenny McCarthy. I wonder how Madonna got the part? It may have been written with her in mind.

I think she got the part because she was actually very good in her previous movie, "Evita". I don't think she was nearly as passionate about this film.

I read she got it because Rupert IS Madonnas best fend and he wanted her in it
