I watched this movie on a Greyhound bus...

I was travelling on a greyhound bus years ago and since it was a long distance trip, the drivers usually put on a movie for the passengers enjoyment..Well, our driver decided to put on My Dog Skip. Since i've never seen it, i was looking forward to watching it. Big mistake!!! I never cried so hard at a movie..I had to keep my composure because i was on a bus ride full of strangers.. I love this movie, but i will never watch it again..This movie just got to me and i don't think i could handle it a second time.. I love animals and the bond people have between their pets. I tear up just thinking about this film.

I know exactly what you mean. I try to avoid movies like this at all costs. Even the less-than-stellar "Good Boy!" made me weepy at one point.

This morning, I watched the last 5 minutes of MDS on youtube...big, big mistake. Not only is the explanation of Skip's death heart-wrenching, the fact that Willie was not there just killed me. How lonely that dog must have been...ugh, I'm tearing up as I write this.

wonder if this movie was as upsetting for kids as is it for adults?

as an adult, it tore me up.

It definitely was. I was only 8 when I saw it and I don't think I've ever cried as hard as I did after watching it. I didn't even own a dog!

I was a hysterical, sobbing 10-year-old mess on the floor for a good 30 minutes.

Do you buy all your murder weapons at Home Depot?
