Wild Strawberries

In this Bergman's movie, n old man recalls his life and faces his personal fears and mistakes...I thought of it, when i was watching Eternity and a Day, i think they have similarities...What do you think?

I completely agree, I was reminded of that throughout the whole movie (I watched Wild Strawberries and The Seventh Seal a week or two before Eternity and a Day, so Bergman was fresh on my mind). But to me the pacing of the two felt very different, so although they were addressing the same topic they both had really interesting perspectives on it.

I've always found it closer to Humberto D. in a way...

You are right but this is a better film, IMO.

Wild Strawberries had this effortlessly surreal streak which elevates it compared to this Eternity thing considerably; Angelopoulos´s movie comes across as kinda corny and obvious sometimes. Good film, but no masterpiece, this Eternity thing.

agreed! for me, Eternity and a Day is a much better film than Wild Strawberries, which didn't engage me at all and didn't make up for it with anything technically amazing. Eternity and a Day gave me both
