AWFUL MOVIE

The title is totally wrong because Danny wants to learn how to dance in order to improve his soccer skills and play like the player from Brazil.

It should be called "MAD ABOUT SAMBA"

Or set the movie during the early 60's and call it "BOSSA NOVA BABY" (Like the Elvis Presley song)and have the greatest soccer player of all times "PELE"
be the inspiration instead of a self-centered ficticious player.

Or why not set it during the late 80's with Lambada music.


MAMBO is from Cuba, made popular by Damaso Perez Prado.

It was also offensive when at the end of the movie there is a mariachi band at the soccer match to support the brazilian player. Mariachi bands are from Mexico.

The movie was boring and full of cliches, at least in "Eight Days a Week", Keri Russell appeared in a see-through wet shirt. No wonder it is not available on DVD.
