This is a terrible movie

This is probably one of the worst movies i've seen in a while. You simply just don't care about the main character. The acting blowed.

I completely agree. I couldn't even finish it. I was very disappointed in Mark Ruffalo, whom I love. I think he is a really excellent actor, especially in My Life Without Me in which I thought he stole the movie. However, this piece of crap had some of the worst writing and acting. It was an all around terrible movie, and copies of it should be burned!

This movie was made a long long time ago, Mark has improved alot since then, this was one of his first movies. It was re-released when he became so popular.

I have to disagree. I watched it last night and I found it entertaining the whole way through. Yeah, you could tell that it was Mark's first feature film as a lead, but he did good overall.

Definitely a must see for Mark Ruffalo fans!

I can't blast the movie too badly, I did sit through its entirety. But I just didn't feel that attached to the characters, or impressed in general by the acting/writing. I can appreciate one aspect of the film: aside from the charicatures of abrasive tenement dwellers, this movie holds onto realism a little bit tighter than Hollywood. The chemistry between the protagonist and his new neighbor across the hall was real, I suppose in a minimalist sort of way. I wouldn't watch the movie again, and I did have a hard time not picking up the remote to change the channel. So, though not a great flick, it's not *that* horrible... If I were to rate it on a 1 to 10 scale I'd probably have it right about where the average is here on IMDB, a 5 or so.

Yes, it was very bad. Bad writing, casting, lighting, directing, most of the acting. It was predictable and just badly made. You could tell the jokes were supposed to be funny, but weren't. The only part I thought was actually funny was the cutting of Mark crying while driving. Just bad, a waste of time.

I would say it's better than terrible. It has a lot of flaws in it, though. Not just the writing of dialouge and lack of character development when it came to the wacky tenents which gets commented on a lot I noticed, but the fact that it takes so long for the movie to get started. It almost dares you to get into it. I had watch it in spurts, which possibly made it more entertaining. The only thing that I liked about it was Anne Marie Johnson. The only the thing made me pick up the movie was that she had a small part in it. No wonder he is crying through half the movie for her....could you blame him!
