I know how the world ended. It's obvious people!!

They were bored to death.

What an awful movie. And I like slow movies! This was pointless and unrealistic in so many ways it's hard to list them all. Sandra Oh gave a wonderful performance. The guy who wanted to fulfill every sexual fantasy made sense. The guy performing a concert made sense. The old people watching home movies made sense. Ok, that's the good stuff. Everything else was terrible.

On one end you have 2012 with no story and totally relying on special effects and the other end is this piece of garbage. Is it possible to make a good end of times movie?

Care to mention what is wrong with the film exactly?
I sense trolling.

The point was that everybody approached the end of the world in different ways. Some went to realize their dreams, others wanted to party, some wanted to just have lots of sex, some wanted to commit crimes, flip cars, some wanted to be with family and enjoy a last get together.

The main character spent most of his time not knowing what he wanted until he met that married woman. He apparently spent most of his life criticizing his family and living a dull pointless life. Kinda pathetic and depressing.

Exactly - and that's what bothered me. I liked the main character less than any other in the film and found him less interesting and less convincing. I think that's what the OP was feeling too although he went a bit overboard (I actually liked it overall).
