I just got the dvd...

For £10 inc p+p on ebay. It arrived this morning. I saw this on Channel 4 in the UK a few years ago, and I loved it! I've been wanting to get the dvd ever since but it doesn't seem as though it's available on region 2, so I had to get the region 1. It's a shame as this is a great film and I wish more people new about it.

I rated it an 8 but I may rate it again later after I've watched it. It was a few years ago when I saw it on tv and I've forgotten a lot of it.

Surely there are more fans of this excellent film out there?

Yes there are: I rated it a 9. And I am also a big fan of Mortelle Randonné. These are the only two films I know from Claude Miller, so I think I have to check out some other movies from this director.

It is an awesome film, oh yeah... the kids are great!!!!!
It is not as slow as some of the French films, this film was perectly done!
I wonder if there is a Region 1 DVD available?
Does your DVD have English sub title?

Massive fan! The film is briliant for so many reasons. It is a heavyweight no doub about it. A film that unlike many makes one mind cry out to watch it again, a little later after processing it a bit more. Some very excellent questions were asked in the other threads, I urge fellow fans to have a look at those too.

Same here, terrific film!!! Not a big fan of Miller's early work, but this one hit the nail.
