R1 vs. R2
I know the region 1 dvd runtime is 173 minutes and that is less than the 240 minutes runtime listed. How many minutes is the region 2 dvd? I haven't been able to find a listing for it.
shareThe R2 packaging says "168 mins approx" so figure in 4% speed up (PAL). The movie is divided into 2 sections of about 85 mins a piece, which is roughly the same as the two night US broadcast. Both sections contain the title credits - so that might explain some of the difference.
This looks like the original broadcast to me. I'm not sure where the 240 min number comes from, but I believe it is an error (probably adding up 2 2-hour time slots, including commercials).
The US dvd is most likely as complete as it gets.
