Beatty and Schreiber were great, the story was wonderful, and the film was beautifully shot. I highly recommend this movie to anyone and everyone. I was completely moved, experiencing a myriad of emotions, and have been thinking about Spring Forward ever since.
I have seen this five times in one year. Every time I am blown away by it, especially the last scene. This is the hardest film to make but one that is always attempted, it's essentially a dialogue film, but WOW what a film
Wish more people would stop watching garbage and give this a try
Yup certainly fills this genre. Well played and handled. Films should have a broad range to appeal to the wide range of human moods and imagination. Something for all our moments. This one does its piece very well. Not a 'little movie' as all as these are often pigeon holed.
In a broader sense, it personifies the fact that indies are what's happening in films and how they can come outa someone's mind and go onto film before even the 'seeking of investors' phase happens in mainstream Hollywood. Further, you see character actors like Beaty, who have had an illustrious career in mainstream movies, bloom again for the sake of 'real' acting. Very analogous to pro football and baseball-the players don't care about the 'game' anymore, but the actors in indies do care about the acting itself.
I think it was a good choice to not make the entire movie about the romance between Paul and Georgia. Their meeting was well captured but the relationship between Paul and Murph was clearly more important. It's much better, not being a chick flick. -e
i like how slow it goes, it makes me feel like im in my own world when im watching it. Beatty and Schreiber are, As you said, FANTASIC! i freaking love this movie!
I just saw the preview of this film, and I wonder why I've never heard of it. Ned Beatty and Schreiber look like they're well cast here, and this film appears to be the type of indie movie I would love. I'll now seek it out. It's too bad that emotionally deep films like this get ignored, while gimmicky action flick predominate.
I agree. This is film deserves a wider audience. It is a wonderful, positive look at life through the eyes of two regular guys becoming friends. Probably my favourite film.
I was very lucky to find this movie on my dad's instant netflix. I'm on a Liev Schreiber kick right now(it's really bad. lol). This movie is really sweet, and I'm crying for no good reason(watching it right now). I love this movie. One of Liev's best performances, and all of them are great
