Black Circle Boys

Has anyone seen this movie? It came out in 1997. It is suppossed to be similar to Ricky 6 and also loosely based on the book Say you love satan.
Donnie Wahlberg is the only popular star in the movie.
Peace,
Matty

I own it too. It's good, but Ricky 6 is more accurate (although that isn't exactly biographical in the least).

Scott Bairstow is in it. He hasn't done much work since, but he was on Party of Five, and in Wild America with Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Devon Sawa (WAY back in the day), and Tuck Everlasting. I suppose they aren't movies the poster has seen, but he's definately had a 'tween girl following just like the other two boys.

Eric Mabius was in Cruel Intentions and Resident Evil.

And Chad Lindberg who's been on countless TV shows including ER, CSI, and CSI: NY and played Jesse in The Fast and the Furious.

And Dee Wallace is in it too, from Cujo and ET.

Most people will recognize at least a few more faces than Donnie Wahlberg's. Also, his role is small. But not smaller than Lisa Loeb, who for some reason gets an opening credit for about 20 seconds of screentime.

Yeah, I agree. Ricky 6 was more about Ricky and his relationship with Tommy and how he didn't just kill because of drugs or Satan, but because he was actually schizophrenic.

Black Circle Boys is more about the terrorized, less about the terrorizer. Still good, though. Not for everyone, I must admit, though. Definately one of those 'so bad it's good' movies.

I haven't actually seen Ricky 6, but I have seen the Black Circle Boys on cable. While I didn't hate it, I would hardly say tht it was particularly good. I am a little surprised tht no one has mentioned Jim Van Bebber's short film My Sweet Satan on this thread yet. I really enjoyed that film. It is incredibly disturbing. You can find it as a bonus feature on the DVD for Van Bebber's film Deadbeat at Dawn if anyone is interested.
