After watching both "Jawbreaker" and "SNL" yesterday, I found interesting similarities between "Fern" and Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, aka Lady Gaga.
Take all that stuff off their faces and lose the hair color/styles/clothing/costumes, etc. and they're both very average girls.
Totally unrelated, I know. Just food for thought.

shareThat's exactly what I thought of Lady Gaga, she's Fern Mayo and became Vylette to copy/outshine the absolute queen who is Madonna. Succeeded for a while but thank god she's a hasbeen now.
shareInteresting revisiting this thread after so many years. I actually have a new found respect for Lady Gaga after her Sound of Music performance at the Oscars and seeing her in concert with Tony Bennett. I never realized she had THAT voice.
Granted, I'm probably much older than you and most of her fans... :-)
Wanted to add that I still prefer Madonna's brand of pop music, though. She is the queen of that genre.
