Is the stupidity/unrealisticness of that the reason this movie's rated so low here?

I mean I know she was using the recorded taunt in the card to *beep* with Julie, but still, it's totally idiotic

She didn't record herself on purpose. She was holding the card and accidentally pushed the button and recorded over the original.
