Marcy: 'Your so lame, you don't even have any friends' to her dad...

Is it just me, or when she says this line does it seem completely out of place and not make sense in the flow of the conversation? Like they some dialogue before it got taken out or something and didn't transition well or whatnot?

I am a few years late to reply to this, and I'm also not sure if part of the dialogue was cut off but it did make sense to me.

I think she was referring to what her father said about being a follower, she was implying that despite being one she had friends unlike him, hence the comment.

Except they weren't really friends though were they? I mean with friends like Courtney who needs enemies?

That's what my alchie piece of sh*t father would tell me all the time, that I didn't have any friends, as if that was something to be ashamed of, so it's not out of place to me at all.
