how can the actor speak German if he's Italian

the actor who played Andras,I saw him in another movie and he did speak Italian,how come

Wow...don't get out much, do you? Guess what - there are quite a number of people that speak several languages very well.

Well, unlike English-speaking-only Americans, Europeans are more open to learning other countries' languages. Original poster sounds like a typical ugly American who would refused to speak any other language even in overseas.
