VIVIAN VANCE???????

What on earth was the mystery and scandal of Ethel Mertz for her to merit an episode in this series??

From what I recall, she had a bad relationship with the actor who played Fred Mertz; she had rocky marriages, but the happiest one was her last, to a homosexual; she suffered from mental problems; and she was forced to dress in a frumpy manner so that she would appear much older than Lucille Ball. That's all I can remember, haven't seen the epi. in about ten years.

Thanks for the link! LOL, if that's "stalking" I guess I'm guilty too but I consider it closer to a Facebook "like" - there aren't all that many people on IMDB who seem to write good posts on a regular basis that I want to read so I tend to see what they (including you) have to say now and then.

I think you can make the argument that quite a few of the individuals chosen for half-hour subjects in this series lead insufficiently mysterious or scandalous lives (Hank Williams? Jon-Erik Hexum?). By the third season they were really getting desperate and producing episodes about things as silly as ghosts and haunted hotels. There are only so many scandalous celebrity lives to report on, and the show eventually ran out of steam.
