I've read and heard so many bad things about this movie. I don't believe a WORD! For a NO BUDGET movie, it's gnikcuf hilarious! and it's got people getting chased who fall in the woods and zombies in the washing machine and chainsaws and ZOMBIES!!!! for it's TIME and MONEY, great film that I'd love to direct someday with a bigger budget!

WOW!!!! I didn't know other people knew this film existed!!! Which is awesome!!!! TRUE STORY:
When i was 13, me, my bro, my two friends, a cute nieghbor, and my older sister went to this whole in the wall video store and picked this movies out. IT SCARED THE HELL OUT OF US. That cute neighbor started crying that she couldn't walk home so we all had to walk her. Then none of us could sleep. And i was trippin!!!! BEst thing was, wierd shiz was happening all around our house like wierd noises and stuff like that. Addeed to the suspense!!!!!! Sadly, i re-rented when i was 17 to show to all my friends. Bad idea, especially since it was at a drunken party!!! They had a good laugh. But, oh well. The memory is hauting. I should watch it again and see how it is....
The Video Dead doesn't need to be remade with a bigger budget, it's fine the way it is...It's funny how many times I've gone to a board for a low-budget movie and the poster says how great the movie is, and then the next thing they say is how they'd love to remake it with a bigger budget.
The Video Dead- like most of the great cheese horror films from the 80's work because of their zero budget and the fact they were made in the 80's...trying to recreate them now with bigger budgets will not work, at least to me anyways...

It wasn't quite as good as I thought it would be but it still provides some good old cheesy 80's B-movie fun. Again, not quite up to par with other films of the ilk such as Return of the Living Dead, but still quite amusing nonetheless.
