Was this really two hours ?

It's social commentary. It questions what normal behavior really is by giving us the mindset of idiots and why we shouldn't be able to let go like them. Why do we have taboos? Why don't we say "I love you" when we feel it?
If people were to take anything from this film and apply it in their real life such as questioning their drone like behavior and try something new, then I'd say they got the message.
