The look of the film

I totally agree. The look of the film serves a fly-on-the-wall-purpuse. And to those of you thinking that this is a dificult to watch and artsy film: its not! It's fun and serious all at the same time. Just a lot more fun a whole lotta more serious than most of the other movies out there trying to produce that combination.

Many mainstream movies try to deal with a serious subject by wrapping it up in safe humor for the viewer to be able to digest the theme and leave the cinema comfortable and good spirited. This movie however really want you to laugh so hard that your guts come up your mouth and carefuly taste what you have just been served.

Maybe it would help her accept the style of the film..

if she knew this movie kickstarted the Dogma95.

this movie was made within a set of rules

1: The director cannot be creditted
2: No fake lighting, only sun light or on set lamps street light etc.
3: Only hand held camera
4: Production budget of 0 $

Lars Von Trier was also a part of starting this movement.. his contribution was 'The Idiots' and to some extend 'Boss of it all', though it breaks the rules a few times with the lighting
