Why are so many Animorphs fan so obsessed with Animorphs movie?

Just scroll down this board... I mean honestly, I imagine it would be fun and great --If made well, but it's not like as if it's that big of a deal.

I mean first of, it is not exactly about to happen any time soon since Animorphs, Animorphs...who remembers them now? Now is the Twilight time... sadly..

And then, most books get utterly ruined by the directors. Look at Harry Potter, for example... the movies are such a shame when compared to the books. And a book series like Animorphs, well, I imagine compressing it to a movie and a good one at that is tough, if not impossible...

So yeah, what's the big deal?

There's a lot of cool things that happened in the book that would look cool if they had the right effects or if it was a cartoon (personally I'd rather see an animated series based off the books). There's also the desire to see the characters fleshed out on screen rather than just in our heads. There's a difference between watching a character and reading about them. Sometimes you want to watch them.

Plus, it would seriously help Animorphs recover from the terrible TV series they made of Animorphs back in 1998.

The Harry Potter films seem great to me, although I haven't seen all of them, nor have I read the books. The idea of filming them in chronological order so the actors can grow up is great.

As for an "Animorphs" animated series, that could work. Remember how successful and praised "Avatar: The Last Airbender" was on Nickelodeon? That was a great, epic TV series. Animorphs could be like that.
