most creative attention to detail I've seen in years!

there's one thing that cannot be denied is how incredibly creative this show really is.

there are many creatively amazing artwork and storytelling throughout this series.

One is it's attention to detail. the whole entire catdog house doesn't miss a beat on making sure practically everything there from the fishbone phone to the double tv is half cat related and half dog related.
Even the holiday specials, had 2 headed snowmen, and 2 headed witches hanging up.
Also with the Halloween episode one scene of animation that always tickles me is when Dog is vamped and CatDog walk past a reflective tombstone and you only see the Cat half reflection.

I have never seen a cartoon so militant about the attention to detail. I thought it was fabulous!

as for the storytelling the imagination of some of the episodes was amazing too.

fishing for trouble
it's a wonderful halflife
Great Parent Mystery
and my personal creative fav (Meat Dog's Friends)
and so many others

I think the only cartoon that come close today to CatDog's incredible imagination, is Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends

Thank you! Finally not a hater! And I agree that CatDog was one of the better shows out by Nick when it was airing (Hey Arnold, As Told by Ginger too since they aired while CatDog was airing). Now the station's pure crap. I can't believe that stupid Mr.Meaty. I seriously hope that's not on anymore.

Hi ho diggety Emily! It's nice to see someone else that doesn't hate CatDog. Take heart there are fans out there of CatDog it's just unfortunate that they are few and far between. I just can't believe this cartoon didn't get more recognition. It's partly nick's fault though. for example with Spongebob there was WAY more publicity especially when various celebs or shows would plug Spongebob. CatDog was never put in the public eye like Spongebob was. When CatDog toys came out it took the fans to figure it out just by walking in Target and seeing them. (I did that) i was shocked when i saw the cute toys and I'm like WHOA when did this happen? why did Nickelodeon not advertise it? etc etc
I agree As told by Ginger was cute. it was nice how it showed the troubles jr high girls can have making friends and such. Also got love my redhead cartoon heroines.

I think besides the fact that CatDog wasn't "made" popular to lure in more fans, it's also that Catdog WAS different. Kind of ironic the attached cat and dog not only offends Nearburg, but also offends nick viewers. go figure.
spongebob was more nihilistic and more happy than CatDog. it had more gimmicky potential than CatDog did. CatDog was a little darker, very satirical.
CatDog actually made fans laugh AND think!
Spongebob only makes fans laugh.

God forbid all those britney fans actually "think" about something.

yeah catdog was cool but why the spongebob hate?
i mean yeah they did cash in on it a bit too much but i mean it was a better show
and no as told by ginger was pretty dumb but its MUCH better than the stuff on teen nick today
but yeah catdog was a bit darker and satirical like the episode where they ban like root beer or something and it was like the prohibition and they open a speakeasy
that was awesome

I loved Catdog.I lived off Nickelodeon since I was born (1993) and I don't really know where everything hit rock bottom. One thing I can say that is part of why Nick sucks now,are all the stupid BS shows that are coming around.Shows have spin-offs now and everything.Nick is just as bad as Disney is,except Nick isn't that shallow.Eh,iCarly is okay for the most part.Everything else blows.I miss the good ol' days.

This show was adiquite but the plots usually weren't very good, atleast it was a little better than Catscratch which some people have pointed out how the Chumpy Chumps are real similar to the Greasers which I beleive but I think the whole gang bully thing started back with Ed Edd and Eddy.

I thought the attention to detail, the plots, and the character development in this show were magnificent! Really, we don't have characters that can be described by only a few words. These characters are complex. I love it. Love everything about the show. It was so unique.

This show was absolutely creative! :) I loved the Party Animal episode where Winslow is having the party and anyone of any size could fit through that hole. lol I thought it was so creative how CatDog was riding the rollercoaster and Cat goes through the house.

Don't worry be happy
