Anne Bancrofts last performances were way over the top! Still not a bad little movie-started out slow and got better moving the second half.
Sean Penn was very good here.

she was great. entertaining. funny. sean penn's accent sounded like he was recovering from some recent trauma to the head. funny, too, in an unintentional way.

Her character was over the top. Annes final films were not over the top. She played them how they should be played.
shareI agree. She was the best thing in the movie (and that's saying a lot, since all the actors did very well). This veteran could do no wrong. Even the smallest roles in her hands were given the best treatment possible. RIP Anne
