Will we ever see this???!!!

I was just wondering if anyone knew whether or not this film is just plain PERMANENTLY SHELVED because of lack of support for distribution. I've been wanting to see this film since 1998, but, aw...you knew that!!!

reply

I've been trying to find a copy of it everywhere. I was kinda hoping it was one of those indie theaters releases... but I can't find it. It's not fair!

reply

Gosh, this movie still hasn't found a distributor? This sounds like such a good movie, i wanna see it so bad, is there any hope?

WHAT DO WE HAVE TO DO, CARD TRIX???!!! Is Ambush Entertainment even TRYING to get this film out???!!! Sheesh!!! Come on already, I'm thru being nice, LOL!!! We've been waiting for nearly 8 years now, that's way too long!!!

Just send a copy to me at the nursing home, thankx!!!

Shall we start a petition to pester the crap out of Ambush or what??? I'm about ready to...

reply

Is there really no news on this one then? I wanna see it!

When I last spoke to the art director from this film, which was probably a year-and-a-half ago, the film had yet to find a full distributor and seems to have been permanently shelved. And that's a shame too.

I enjoyed it. I had no idea what to expect when I got it. Living close enough to San Francisco to make a day of it, I always enjoy seeing the city in a movie. Makes the film more real for me if I have actual points of reference to follow. This movie shows it off left and right.

Yes, I finally realize one of the biggest reasons why I love this film is the locations. I have always loved San Francisco. It's a city with a lot of personality, and as the director said, it really is a character in this film.

I went to the premier in San Francisco. My band "Salt Lick" had two songs from our first CD featured in the movie. One of our band members didn't make it in to the showing because it was too full. I have a copy of the film somewhere at home on VCR tape.

Hi Beverly,

Actually this film is finally on DVD as of last November. Which songs did you have in the movie? I really like the songs that are in the film.

You can get the DVD from amazon, barnes and noble, DVD Empire, etc.

But I never did see it on the shelf at Blockbuster. It's best just to buy it, or Netflix might have it for rental.

I really adore the film too. Jeremy Sisto is my favorite actor.

I noticed your band name Salt Lick in the DVD credits, but couldn't figure out which songs were which.

Which scenes were your songs in? There are so many songs and I've been online looking for the websites to some of the bands, most of which are local indie bands, and there isn't much internet info.

I can't figure out the titles of the following good songs:

1.) The fire extinguisher scene

2.) The next scene where Alex leaves Arden a note and goes to visit Peternelle.

3.) The scene at Jesse's houseboat

4.) The one where Alex is getting ready to go back to LA.

5.) The first song in the end credits.

It's me again...I found a myspace page for a band Salt Lick which lead me to a link saltlickband.com, but that seems to be just a domain available page now.
