the ending (spoiler)

enjoyed this movie immensely, but wanted a different ending. it was realistic, but i coulda done without the dose of reality. i wanted chris and jeanine to get back together and live happily ever after. but since it was left kinda open, i can imagine it happened down the road.

*sighs* ahhh well, that hasn't stopped me from enjoying this film.....

I wish that they had lived happily ever after myself.

I believe that there's still hope for them, but they are going to need a lot of work.

Chris realized kind of late that he really cared for Jeanine, and she wasn't just a replacement for Leslie.

It would be kind of hard for me to get over Chris using the N-word, but I think that they will eventually find their way back to each other.

The fact that she invited him to hear her sing gives me hope.

i definitely think the ending was left open for us viewers to conclude what we will. that added to the realness of the film.

i too want to believe when chris comes to see jeanine in hoboken, they decide to work on it and get back together. =)

That explains a lot. Thank you for the information.

Now I will feel even more sad when I see the end.

I'm with you shere73, I don't think I would have been able to get back with him after he used the N-word. I have an ex- who is white and I think if he used that word that definitely would have been grounds for a break up...

Good topic,

I liked the ending in that it was realistic to me.
How do forget that and also, how do you throw a whole relationship away?
