Startling images (spoilers)

This perplexing film had some startling visual images, which are symbolic as well as amazing.

Lucie in her wedding gown and veil atop a tall stool as a seamstress puts the finishing touches to the gown.

Pierre riding his motorcycle up a very steep bridge at night.

Pierre climbs up to a very large rock/promontory that overhangs the hillside. He then lies beneath it.

Little girl eating a grilles/roasted corn on the cob.

Pierre and Isabelle enter the commune/cult house via a courtyard of barking dobermann dogs.

Marie riding her husband's motorcycle with her mascara running down her face resembling a mask or some elaborate facial decoration.

Pierre's dream during which he and Isabelle swim, drowning and caressing in a sea of blood.

Thibault's death scene: two guns blast bullets into his mouth, blowing his head. He falls backwards, shattering a shop window and lies in a pool of glass fragments.
