Peter's hypnosis

Did that sort of wear off as the film went on? For example, when he first got hypnotized, he was very zen towards everything - the hypnotist having a heart-attack, his job, breaking up with his ex, meeting Joanna, but he became stressed about things as the film went on, like the idea of Joanna having slept with Lumbergh, the idea of going to jail over accounting fraud, and was also concerned for his friends who would be losing their own jobs. Then, at the end of the film he seemed to be quite relaxed again, although this is unclear if the hypnosis was back or if he was just content.
