Same score as Rashomon?

Did anybody else notice an almost identicle score in this film as in that of the forest scenes in Rashomon. I think the pacing was almost exact too. The ending also was reminiscent of the Seven Samurai. Has anybody else noticed any other Kurosawa influences? We should try to get this film on dvd or at least on VHS with subtitles, it is a wonderfully shot piece.
