Chloe Sevigny as Aldys?!

Just read in the trivia section that Sevigny was considered for the role of Aldys, which went to Leelee Sobieski.

Totally blew my mind. It's certainly an interesting concept. Sevigny was probably a bit above this kind of film at the time, since she used to be known primarily for art house films, but I think it would have been cool to see her in the film alongside Drew.

Having said that, I still love Leelee and I think she did a great job.

That's weird because I actually thought it WAS Chloe Sevigny in the first scene with Aldys. It wasn't until a few scenes with her later that I was like "Hey, wait a second, that's not Chloe...".

I thought it was even more weird that Leelee almost ended up playing Kristen (Marley Shelton's role). She's pretty but doesn't come off as the stereotypical popular girl to me.
