Invisible movie

The actor Victor Cavallo already performed Toto Riina in another movie.
It was Ultimo (1998) by Stefano Reali, a TV fiction with Raul Bova
about the arrest of the famous Mafia boss.
In the 1990's and 2000's the Italian producers have made many movies and TV fictions about Falcone and Borsellino, but the Tognazzi's film (maybe the best) again today is a invisible movie.

I COMPLETELY agree.
this is one of the most UNDER-RATED films ever!
I cannot believe no one is discussing it on here!

To speak for myself; I always thought the movie was called "Giovanni Falcone" and thus I had that movie listed with a 10 for a long time.

Now recently I found the old movie (Giovanni Falcone 1993) and I found out that's a totally different movie. After digging for a while, I found that this was the real movie which is among my favorites!

I immediately went to the stores, bought it and watched it! It was just as good as I remember it so it's the full 10 stars from me!

Perhaps more people are confused with these two movies?

Ultimo (1999) received an award... with the approval of associates of Bernardo Provenzano, mass murderer and Toto Riina's de facto successor.

At Villabata the friends of Bernardo Provenzano- authorized by the family- give an award to the actor Raoul Bova for his roll in the television mini-series Ultimo, in which he plays the policeman who captured Salvatore Riina. In Enna, the president of the businessmen who take to the streets to demonstrate against the pizzu* ends up being arrested. In Palermo, the heads of the Sicindustria rage publicly against their bosses but they are their secret associates. in Altofonte, a man of honour** even puts on a painting exhibition "dedicated to Falcone and Borsellino."

This movie was VERY underrated. I didn't expect much from it because I had already watched a first-rate series called Corleone (Il Capo Dei Capi) in Italian with English subtitles which was superbly done. I also already knew most of the real story behind the mass trial so I must say that I was quite impressed at how well done the movie was.
