I like Peter Mullan-he also proved to be an excellent director as well. His acting in My name is Joe was great, intense but also realistic and down to earth, without the cheap emotionalism you see in many dramatic films.

Nadia your not wrong, Peter Mullan's naturalistic performance is up there with Harvey Keitel's in Bad Lieutenent and Phillip Baker Hall's in Hard Eight as one of the best performances ever.

Peter Mullan is an outstanding actor and I had the great privilege to hear him introduce and talk about this fine film in Edinburgh some years back. I wait the day he has another collaboration with Ken Loach. Outstanding!

Mullan has proven to be as good a director (The Magdalene Sisters, Orphans) as he is an actor. I wonder if that can be said of anyone else, anyone at all (ok, there's Dickie Attenborough, Woody Allen, Clint Eastwood and John Cassavetes ). Keep up the good work, Pete.
