Who else has seen it??

Has anyone else seen this? Sometimes I feel like the only one who has....

Don't fret... you're not the only one who has seen this movie. Even though it's been a while since i've seen it, I too thought I might've been the only one that's seen this movie. I remember renting it a while back, I think it was in the year 2000 from Hollywood Video. For the most part what I can remember is that it seemed pretty cheesy in some parts, but for the most part it was entertaining to say the least. I can't say i'll go out and buy the movie right away. Not unless I could find it at say 'Best Buy' for $5.00 or less, then I might reconsider. I usually do that though. Go to the video store and rent the chessy horror stuff, or the stuff that looks like no one else rents. One reason is to see if there might be someone in the movie that I recognize from something else. Maybe even an actor who has gone mainstream now. Then there's times when the cheesy horror films really aren't that bad. Like I said they're entertaining for the most part. I might have to go out and rent this one again just to remember what it was all about.

believe it or not i've seen this movie. i stumbled upon it while finding some movies to blow with my christmas money. i got it with a 2-disc 4 movie set (with blood thirsty, dead waters, and highway hitcher) and this was my favorite out of the whole set. the first time was so freakin' scary. i watched it by myself (i watched it 3rd of the set) and it's the only one with a very scary atmosphere. the music didn't make this movie entirely scary, but just the wandering around the dark and figures appearing out of the dark. this was my 2nd linnea quigley movie, too. i didn't know who in the heck she was till i watched JACK-O (my favorite horror movie) and then watched kolobos again and i was like OH!!! THAT'S LINNEA QUIGLEY! the scariest part of kolobos to me was when kyra came home and was walking around the house and had flashbacks of the house. wait, that's #2. #1 was when she was in the basement of the house. upon watching it again i just noticed that the music was a rip-off of suspiria (complete with chanting and stuff). i had recently bought the suspiria score and popped the cd in (before watching the movie) and i thought the music sounded really familiar. then i watched kolobos again and freaked out cuz i couldn't believe it was so similar. this movie should have been released in theatres. it ended just like haute (high) tension. when i get a projector, this is gonna be the first movie i'm screening to an audience. well, i seem to be rambling on and on, so i'm gonna go. remember, watch kolobos in widescreen (even if it's matted, it still gives it the theatrical feel) and in dolby digital 5.1 (if you were lucky to get the boxset, matrixed stereo sound but still very very effective). this movie is the 2nd movie to actually scare the crap outta me. this was the scariest movie i've ever seen till i saw in the mouth of madness. after that movie, i was terrified, but kolobos is lucky to rank as #2. haute tension freaked me and a friend out we had to turn it off 45 mins. in, only cuz we were home alone and we were freaking out each other.

I just found out that amy weber is the main character in this. The same Amy Weber that was in wwe. I'll have to rent it and see how it is.

did it ever occur to you that if someone was on this message board that they just might of seen the film?

Aagh! It hurts! It burns! You've liquified me, you slags!

i have seen it i saw it when i was 11 and the only part that freaked me out for a while was the tv scene where kolobos was cutting the skin of his face off

I've seen it! It was one of the first films I saw when I was old enough to join a rental store by myself. It was also the first film I ever bought on DVD because the first DVD player I ever bought (before DVD was as popular as it is today)cost me my entire month's paycheck (I was a student at the time)and Kolobos was the only DVD I could afford to buy.

I saw it years ago on HBO, if memory serves. Seems a lot longer ago than eight or nine years, but I guess it can't have been if the release date on IMDb is correct. I only watched it once, and don't really remember much about it except I thought it was strange, pointless and not very good.

It impressed me as being more or less a tribute to Dario Argento, made by someone without Argento's talent.

THIS is MY favourite HORROR MOVIE of all time - I just LOVE it.

Despite the high cost of living, it remains popular.
