Pulling teeth
What was the French soldier after the first battle going to do with his captive's teeth? I know his own were bad, but it's not like he could have the other man's implanted. Did dentures exist then?

shareThe Etruscans had dentures c. 500 BC. Or maybe he wanted them for jewelry/souvenirs.
shareHuh. I didn't know that. Thanks.
shareI don't know the actual "dental" processes involved, but up to quite recently (historically speaking) good teeth from "donors" such as we see, were thought to be able to be used to replace rotten teeth in recipients, such as we see. This frequently involved extracting teeth from corpses.🐭
shareThanks.
