Arranged Marriage Propaganda

Rarely have I seen a film that was so sexist and offensive. Its no wonder this was such a huge hit in India, it promotes one of their most disturbing and barbaric customs(arranged marriages) and it has the nerve to try and make it look romantic. Shame on everyone involved with this film.

What a douche. Really.

so it was sexist because it portrayed an arranged marriage working out for the best?

don't get me wrong, I'm not a full on supporter of arranged marriages, but I wouldn't say that showing one work better than two immature individual's love work is sexist.

to me, it was just them showing her love for salman khan to be more immature and her love with ajay devgan as a more mature one. I mean, its obvious that she's a different person at the end of the movie vs early on in the movie.

You're signature: "This is what a Feminist looks like."

Yep, I can see it. Especially since you only think arranged marriages are sexist because a woman is involved.

One of my best friends' parents had an arranged marriage (they were born in India but live in Australia now), and by the sounds of things they have a very happy marriage. Granted, they did know each other before they got married and I think probably liked each other already. But I still count it.

I think you missed the entire point of the movie.
