The Godfather Trilogy is coming to DVD...

It's still in the "Rumor Mill" section of The Digital Bits website, but it looks like the The Godfather Trilogy is coming to DVD in the near future.

This is all three films edited together in chronological order with 119 minutes of additional material added in. The total length of the original cuts of all three films is 537 minutes. The Godfather Trilogy is 656 minutes in length...at least on the laserdisc version of it that I own. I've transferred my copy to DVD, but even using an upscaling player on a HD display, it can't compare with a well mastered DVD.

I have about every version of the GF films ever sold or broadcast and, by far, the Trilogy is my favorite way to watch them. We usually do it around Christmas. We watch the first 5 to 6 hours, eat a huge Italian meal, and then finish the film.

This version would include part 3 also?

Yeah, and I'm also curious about the order because, on the Trilogy laser disc I used to own, the sequence where DeNiro goes back to get revenge for his mother's murder is NOT in chronological order but placed once again towards the end of the Godfather II footage, which makes no sense at all...

Wait a minute... who am I here?

it has the same running time as the laserdisc version.
