Summary: Lies! Lies! I can't believe a word you say!

This so-called objective documentary is precisely that. In fact, in the disclaimer before the film, they tell you exactly why the film was made in the first place: To change your mind on the death penalty. Unfortunately, they are not going to do it this way. This program is filled with lies about the death penalty in general, and especially about the practice of it in the United States. The best part of this is a look at the execution of Robert Alton Harris in California's gas chamber. They specifcally talk about what others had seen during his execution. What they do not tell you is why he was given the death penalty in the first place. He was sentenced to die for the murders of two teenage kids. He wanted the car they were in to commit a robbery, so he chased after them and shot them, later bragging to a fellow cellmate that he told one of the boys, who was crying and begging for his life, to "Shut up and die like a man." None of that is mentioned. In fact, the victims are never mentioned at all. Not even once. And they have the audacity to called this film objective. Uh-uh. Nope. Avoid this film at all costs. You will thank me later.

I haven't seen this documentary so I don't know what it's like but I did read the user comments and was taken back by the above idiots review. Obviously this person is a believer in the death penalty and those people who believe in the death should be made to to watch these sort of documentary's. But they want to have it both ways, support the death penalty and not have any responsiblities know full well a human being's life is going to be taken away.

Everybody should see this documentary especially if you believe in the death penalty, you should be made to watch.

I agree totally. I have this on tape and I tried to get my stepdad to watch it because he's for the death penalty (even for burglars) and the first time I asked him to, I think he told me to "f uck off" and the second time he called me sick for watching it. Then I asked him why it's sick to see it, but actually good to do it and, surprise surprise, no answer.

I've seen the film and I'm still for the death penalty. I personally believe people convicted of attrocious crimes should get worse than a simple prick in the arm and nap. The ones that get life sentences GET IT BOTH WAYS, they take a life or a few, and get to sit and do nothing for the rest of their life while we pay for their lodging. Good deal.

If prison's such a "good deal," why isn't everyone trying to get in there for life?

If you want us to torture people to death to punish them for murder, what does it say about us when we do even worse to them than they did to others?
