What format was this movie shot in?

I watched this movie last night and the first thing I noticed was that it didn't look like film. There was no stuttering when the camera panned past foreground objects and there were quantization errors during fast pans. This would lead me to believe it was shot on video, but since it was shot in 1998, that seems unlikely. Does anyone know what medium this movie was shot with?

i was wondering that too! the cinematography looks like the same thing really bad Indian drama shows use. it looks tacky to me.

Actually, Digital Video (DV) has been around since about 95. So, it's possible that it was shot Digitally, which would explain the quantization errors and all, since the DV at that time was probably not very good.
