i am excited to learn about this but i have no idea what a shyari is and if the hindi you referenced is the same poem.' google translate' was of no use here.is this hindi an exact translation?

Shayari is a form of Urdu Poetry really popular in Indian subcontinent comprises couplet, or Sher. Mirza Ghalib is considered one on greatest shayar. shayari is also widely used in indian films too(e.g. Fanaa (2006)). for more info on javed akhtar visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Javed_Akhtar and finally i will try to translate that shayari word by word for you (i am bad at this and poetic effect might be gone :D)
