TCM midnight May 10!

At 11 p.m. Sunday, May 10, Central, TCM is showing Hayakawa's "The Cheat" followed at midnight by "The Dragon Painter"! I hadn't checked earlier but just finished watching "The Sign of the Ram" and decided to see what else they would be showing, particularly on "Silent Sunday".

Hooray! I found enough room on a videotape for both films! Otherwise, I definitely would have sacrificed something I'd be sure to find later. I'm THRILLED that they're showing "The Dragon Painter" again, as I've seen it only once but have been praising it to many people. Somehow, I figured that, if it was aired again, I likely would miss it. Hooray again!

Perhaps this will alert others who have been watching for it, too!

I've been watching the silent films on and off. Never seen this one so sure to watch it.

This is a remarkable movie that I'm thrilled is being aired again, along with "The Cheat". I especially wanted a copy of "The Dragon Painter", an elegant, beautiful, touching story. He's such a handsome man! No wonder he became a matinee idol and worked so much! My hope is that TCM will show even more of his films from the Silent era.

I placed alerts on several forums, as some still might have time to catch the film. My trusty VCR is capturing these precious two hours for many future viewings. *sigh*

I'm from another century. I don't know how to do anything technical like that. I barely figured out Photobucket!

I watch things on YouTube, but it might as well be sorcery when I wonder how they get a film or episode from one place to another.
