I kinda like to base that standard on how seriously the film takes itself. In a Mars Attacks-type situation, you don't really worry about silly science. But this film was almost going out it's way to repeat the legitimate legal basis for their premise. In Jurassic Park, if the way they'd exracted dino DNA was just flatly ludicrist, it would impact the film's narrative I think. Yes it's just a movie and yes it doesn't matter, but I do understand why some law professors made a point to refute it.
What I found funny was the number of crimes and victims she left in her wake to seek justice - trashing a rental card, trashing Jones' car, charging gowns to a strangers account, damaging property. It just kind seemed to clash a bit with the innocent malligned they portrayed her as.
I don't know if I kind of like this movie or kinda of dislike it. it's razor thin, and everytime she calls that boy 'kiddo' it's nauseating.
