GO RENT THIS MOVIE!

This is one of the best movies I have ever seen, and it's terrible that it's not more well known. The scene where Levitch is looking at the plants is the equal of the helicopter attack in apocalypse now, as far as I'm concerned. This being said, I know of few other people that like the film. It's somewhat of a mystery to me why so many people that have seen it find the guy annoying or pretentious. Maybe all those apocalyptic 70's movies (dawn of the dead, zardoz, planet of the apes, logan's run, etc. etc.) have convinced North American audiences that everyone who's trying to tell them something is full of *beep* or hot air. It's like everyone's woken up from a night of drinking with memories of painfully earnest conversations ringing in their ears, and everyone's really embarrased.

Conversations should have a point, I looked around for one in this movie, I can't find it.

Look harder?

What about a monologue? He's a man in love with a city, that pointed enough for you?

I LOVED the plant scene. I'm not even sure why. It made me giggle, but also it reminded me of how I think about nature, as well. Then again, I like to literally hug trees, so, you know...

Definitely. This was terrific and absorbing movie, not to mention it had a great New York feel to it. I would even put it on the same level as Waking Life.

It's one of the best, if not the best documentary I have ever seen. Can't wait to see it again.
