I agree that "Broken Vessels" is an excellent movie. I love it as well. I'm surprised that there aren't more posts for this fine film.

For years I thought I was the only one to know about this movie, I kinda thought I was one of those movies that you know it isnt really good, but you like it a lot

now I see Im not the only one ho likes it

This is a very disturbing film and should be required viewing for anyone considering a career in drug abuse, even if it's only part time. I had been looking for this film for years and had great expectations for it, and when I finally found it they were exceeded. The drug scenes appeared so realistic that it makes you wonder if they were achieved just through acting and makeup. "Broken Vessels" is a terrific movie that needs to rise from obscurity.

I agree that the cover art is misleading. I think the image of the bloody handprints against the cross is pretty accurate, but the close-up of the guy's eyes the dominates the cover makes it look like this is about a serial killer or something. I prefer the image on the back of Jason London and Todd Fields in the ambulance. If I saw this on the rack, I'd pass it by, and it would be a huge loss because this is an excellent film.

You are completely right. This movie rules. I really hate to admit this but I ACTUALLY found my copy in the bargain bin at a big chain retail store. It was marked $4.44. When I actually went to pay for it, the thing scanned $3.33. Best deal ever! As an aspiring Airlife / Flight for Life air ambulance pilot I could see some of these things happening-not that I have but the potential is there; especially in a concrete jungle urban setting.

I added a recommendation to the Bringing Out the Dead page.

Well, you will definitely make a nice profit if you look to sell it now. It's very rare to find a DVD copy of this film. Have you seen what it goes for on Amazon?

I actually found it as a bundle pack with 3 other crappy films so I was also able to get it for like 4 bucks. Yey!

~What if this is as good as it gets?!~
