Folded clothes
So when people vanish, all that's left is a neatly folded pile of clothing...
I would have expected smoldering ashes at minimum....

I'm not sure why they did that but it could be because Jesus' burial head covering was found neatly folded in the empty tomb.

Ya know, that's cool - and if they would have made a comment like that in the movie, it probably would have made more sense.

That is probably the reason for the folded clothes being those of Jesus in the Tomb after He arose from the dead. Consider this, the production values, acting, and writing of Christian movies has improved over the years and this was made 15 years ago so Christian movies have come a long way.
