Was anyone else reminded of White Oleander when watching this?
Mainly in White Oleander before the mom goes to prison, the moms and daughters seem to have a similar type of relationship.

They are both about the mother/daughter dynamic, but of course Ingrid is a vicious, somewhat evil individual. Anywhere But Here is about a much more conventional, she-drives-me-absolutely-crazy-but-I-love-her-anyway mother/daughter relationship, whereas White Oleander is darker.
