Complete series DVD boxset?

Currently you can still get the first series of Van De Valk from the 70s on DVD off Amazon (the UK site) but not the rest of the series (including the two 90s series). Are there any plans for a DVD boxset of the complete series (the 70s and 90s series)?

I haven't checked this thread I've posted in for a while, because it wasn't getting any replies.

Nope I haven't found any DVDs on shopping websites for the 90s Van de Valk TV series. They did show some episodes on a UK satellite channel late last year. Can't remember which episodes.

I saw on eBay 12 months or more ago some DVD volumes compiling the first series from the 70s Van de Valk TV series. I think I didn't bid on them because the other 70s series weren't available to buy. You could buy some on Play.com but they're no longer available (last time I checked they weren't).

I have searched high and low for 1977 and 1991-92 series but to no avail, would love to get my hands on these series as I am a massive fan.I have the 1971-72 series in a boxed DVD set and I must say its great a little cheesy now but still top drawer even though I was not born then.

HELLO PAT, I WAS INTRIGUED TO SEE YOU WORKED ON THE SERIES.IT MUST HAVE BEEN MARVELOUS.DID YOU MEET BARRY?i imagine you did a lot of drinking with colleagues. tell me ,what did you actually do?regards, mak

Hey sorry- I didnt know anyone actually had replied to my post..
yea I worked on the set in the episodes in 90-92..trying desperately to get the footage, cant believe how impossible it seeems to be to locate the material. Someone spends about 10 million on the 90-92 series, and every copy completely vanishes off the face of the earth, with out a trace? come on, its looking like a bad spy movie! (and yes, Barry was a great guy to have drinks with) many times many chances with entire cast and crew, in the middle of amsterdam, location sets, and everpresent Amsterdam cafe's! I got a lot more of course..see if your there before I start a tirade by myself

Hi!
Play and Amazon (UK) are advertising 'complete series 'Van der Valk' box sets of 11 discs as 'due for release 22nd October 2007' Looks as if it's the 1970s series only, but good news!

I hadn't checked this thread for a few months, and there have been some new replies. I thought it was going to be one of those IMDb threads which won't get many replies.

Following on from your post Carzere I have some good news regarding the 90s TV series. I bought the new issue of DVD Review magazine yesterday, and whilst reading it looked at a two page Network DVD advert. Region 2 DVDs being released in October were shown. This was the first I knew that Van der Valk was coming out on DVD at last. I was over the moon when I saw the picture of the boxset with artwork.

It says "the complete series on DVD". All four series it says in the description as well, including the TV movies from the 90s.

I have to apologise. I've only just noticed I spelt your IMDb membername wrong in my last post Carlzere.

Update on the last post I made: a listing has been added to the BBFC site this week for Van der Valk. I thought it was one series of episodes. But they're mixed up. Six episodes have been rated, and together they've been given a 12 certificate. They're from the 1977 series. I thought the BBFC would have put all of the series' episodes together in one listing.

No need for apologies SunSpeed. I don't mind what I'm called as long as I'm not called late for dinner!
